Trip to Savinjska region

Join us for a one-day trip to Rogla and Žalec, where we will enjoy nature, fun activities and local traditions. This trip is perfect for everyone who likes fresh air, outdoor adventures and exploring new places in Slovenia.

We will start with a visit to the Treetop walk Pohorje, a wooden path that takes us high above the forest. From there, we will witness the beauty of the Pohorje hills from a unique perspective. At the top of the observation tower, you can enjoy wide views of the green landscape. Along the path, there are also small stops with information about plants and animals that live in this area. (The entrance ticket for the treetop walk is included in the price.)

After the walk, you can choose between two activities. One option is to visit the Rogla Fun Park, where you can try the 1,360-metre alpine coaster. It is a ride on a track that goes down the mountain – you can go fast for an adrenaline rush or slowly to enjoy the view. If you prefer to take it easy, you can relax in one of the mountain cafés with a refreshing drink. (The coaster depends on the weather and has an extra fee, not included in the trip price.)

The other option is a hike to Lovrenška lakes, a group of small high-altitude lakes on the Pohorje plateau. The path goes over wooden walkways through quiet nature. The lakes are calm and reflect the trees around them, creating a special atmosphere. They were formed thousands of years ago and are home to rare plants. This is a peaceful walk where you can take nice photos and enjoy the natural surroundings.

On the way back, we will stop in the town of Žalec, known for its beer fountain – the first of its kind in the world. The fountain offers up to six different types of local craft beer, made with hops from the Savinja valley, an area famous for hop growing. (Beer tasting at the fountain is optional and has an extra cost, not included in the trip price.) If you don’t want to try the beer, you can walk around Žalec’s old town and see its traditional streets and buildings.

At the end of the day, we return to Ljubljana with many new experiences – from treetop views and mountain activities to relaxing walks and tasting local beer. A trip full of variety and good memories!
